The Mulato Chile is a dried poblano pepper with a mild to medium heat, which is regularly used in a variety of Mexican dishes. Roughly 4” long and 2” wide the Mulato chilli has flavours of chocolate and licorice, with a hint of cherry and tobacco.
Traditionally used to make Mole sauce, the Mulato chilli is part of the ‘holy trinity’ along with Ancho and Pasilla Chillies.
