Corn flour is the traditional way to make Mexican tortillas, perfect for quesadillas, tacos, tamales and so much more. Corn is naturally gluten-free and gives your homemade tortillas loads of natural flavour. This 1kg bag of corn flour is enough to make around 48 tortillas – depending on their size!

Makes soft, delicious corn tortillas. Corn flour is the preferred choice (over wheat) in Central and Southern Mexico in particular.
Harina de maiz blanca tortilla recipe
Mix 1 cup of white corn flour (harina de maiz blanca) with 1 ½ to 2 cups of warm water.
Let the dough sit for 5 mins then knead with your hands. It will become more pliable after kneading well.
Make the dough into small balls. 1 cup of flour will make around 16-18 small balls.
Each ball then needs to be pressed in a tortilla press to create the round, even and flat shape.
Once your tortillas are pressed, cook them on a hot skillet.
