La Sonora Santanera is a living legend in the world of Latin music. Their unique big band style with elements of mambo, cha cha cha, bolero, cumbia and merengue, featuring trumpets, bass piano, percussion and four principle voices has made them popular all over Latin America.

Their recent albums, including the Grammy nominated En Su 60 Aniversario, have featured guest vocalists demonstrating the breadth of their appeal and influence, from Gilberto Santa Rosa and Victor Garcia to Natalia Lafourcade, Lila Downs, Carla Morrison and Ruben Albarran  of Café Tacvba.

They are widely regarded as one of the most influential Mexican music bands of all time, founders of the Mexican tropical style and tradition with hits including Perfume de gardenias, La boa, Luces de Nueva York, El mudo, El orangután.

Tonight the band make their UK debut, a night for the movers on EartH Hall’s storied dancefloor.

The night begins with a special set from DJ Bushbby channelling her Colombian roots to complement the pan-Latin reach of Santanera.
