This ancho chilli paste from Pepe Comala is made from crushed ancho chillies. The chillies start dried, are rehydrated and then pureed into a paste. Other than ancho chillies and water (for rehydration), the chilli paste has no other ingredients, so you can be assured it’s of the highest quality - deliciously hot and spicy. The paste is spreadable and can be added to a wide variety of dishes including marinades, sauces and dressings.

Ancho chillies are a dried version of the poblano pepper, which is largely found growing in Mexico. This chilli paste is perfect for any recipe that asks for re-hydrated ancho chillies.
