It tastes particularly spectacular paired with cheese in dishes like quesadillas or enchiladas. It goes with so many different foods, you’ll have no problem experimenting with it in your favourite meals!
Flavour: Earthy, but a little bit like corn!
Corn Truffle Preparation: Corn truffle, or huitlacoche, from Mestizo Market comes canned, which means you don’t have to worry about washing, chopping or shredding. Simply tear it apart with your fingers if you want smaller bites.
When cooked, corn truffle will usually turn black with the heat, giving your dishes an unusual dark hue.
Storage: This corn truffle comes in a handy can in order to keep it fresh for longer. It should be stored in a cool, dry place, like a cupboard.
